***Updated to add: Valor has done a spectacular job transitioning to online learning during COVID-19. With students at two other schools, I saw the contrast between Valor that jumped into action quickly and the other schools that did not.****nnWhen my third child didn't win the lottery for the school that both of his sisters went to I was faced with deciding between our zoned school, an out of zone school, and Valor. After talking to lots of parents and touring the schools we made the decision to come to Valor even though it certainly hadn't been our first or second or even third choice going into the process.nnMy child is in his second year at the school and we are overall pleased. He has lots of friends. The social emotional learning program is good and has had a positive affect on him. Sometimes it doesn't feel challenging enough for him, but that seems to be something that is normal for MNPS schools unless you win the lottery for the one academic magnet.nnThe location is a pain, otherwise it is a good school.

They are one sided and never listen to students and act nice when parents are there and yell at students and do nothing to fix it this is the worst school ever your child will ask to leave in 3 months max

Don’t send your child here because it’s terrible, stressful, and they will not like this school.(if I could rank it 0 stars then I would)
