The rooms were dirty....hair all over the bathroom door, burn holes and ashes on the balcony, the sheets had holes in them, and a few outlets didn't even work. However the staff was friendly and I loved they had lysol wipes readily available for guests. The bar could of used a better selection for the drink vouchers. The views were amazing though and we had a good relaxing time with room for Improvement.
A great place to stay. Always clean. I look forward to returning.
We were here for the SC EMS convention and our stay here was mostly fine, we were a little disappointed in the small TV and that there was no microwave or ice (I think we had to go to the main building to get it), but the room itself was nice enough with a good view and a great location on the beach. We were pretty satisfied with our stay until the last night, when someone checked into the adjoining room next to us. We assumed the doors were locked, but much to our dismay a stranger came wandering through the door into our room when we were laying in bed getting ready to sleep.nnAlarmed by this, we attempted to call the front desk using the room phone right away.nnWell, instead of someone picking up the phone to assist us like any other hotel, we got connected to an operator who kept transferring us without saying a word. The number we were getting transferred to no one picked up at, so we kept calling and calling. We finally got the operator to talk to us on about the 20th call and said no one was picking up our phone and she started yelling saying “it’s not her job she’s just the operator”. She claimed her name was Rosanna.nnI ended up using my cellphone to call the number for Kingston listed on google to get ahold of someone, and the engineer they sent up to lock the door was very kind and helpful. The night manager Lexi was also very kind, but the bottom line is that we were in a potentially unsafe situation with a stranger who had free access to our room and no one would pick up the phone. We shouldn’t have to call from an outside number to the google contact to get help - the front desk connection on the phone should be working.nnThis is where things turned around:nnThe night manager Lexi offered to give us extra points for our experience, which was a nice gesture even though i cared more about safety improvements. We had some issues with the extra points we were promised showing up in our account, so I contacted management but didn’t really expect to get a reply.nnHowever, Randy one of the managers reached out to me to help the very next day to resolve the point situation. He did also say they addressed the issue with the operator who was rude to us when we were trying to get help, and said new locks were put on the adjoining doors which makes me feel better. That was the thing I cared about the most and I’m glad they fixed it. It sounds like they took the safety concern seriously after the fact and did their best to remedy the situation. I do hope also that the operator will not behave in the same manner again.nnOverall, I’m still a little wary of this place but the managers I’ve spoken to were very nice and genuinely asked how they could make things right. The engineer who looked at the door was very kind and reassuring when we were upset. I do believe they’re trying to make things right and hopefully learned how to prevent something like this in the future. I think I’d be willing to give them another chance. Thanks management and engineer team for your help.
Nice rooms for four day weekend.
Hands down the best for the price when traveling with a group of people.nnWe got the 3 bedroom home and it was beautiful. Had everything you needed in a house already.nnWould always stay here for my stays to get a homie experience.
