This is a beautiful building! There isn't much in it, but I would not take small kids in because there is strained glass for sale and within reach of children. The employees were very helpful and polite. This is NOT the main visitor's center for Chickasaw and they don't have kids junior ranger stuff here, you need to go to the travertine nature center for that. But they do have maps of the park. And it is a very clean facility.
Wonderful place. Rangers and staff are knowledgeable, good with people including children. Bathrooms are accessible even when the main part is closed. Don't know about overnight. The river flows under the visitor center which is cool and of course they have a honey bee hive under glass/plastic you can watch.
The employees were very nice. It's a great place to gather information about Oklahoma.

Beautiful visitor's center with lots of great items for sale. I love the beautiful artwork displayed. We bought a few t-shirts and some really great books. And I love that they are right across the street from Bedre's.
