Such an amazing drive. The first 20 miles were really foggy but after that it was a beautiful drive. I will definitely have to come again during the peak of fall foliage and a clear day. Make sure to be careful some of the turns can be rough. Also make sure you have enough gas to make it all the way because there are no gas stations on the drive.

Definitely a beautiful place. Probably worth the drive in peak fall foliage. We were a little early and found the colors to be slightly underwhelming. Aside from that, definitely a cool drive with scenic stops for Oklahomans and people close by in surrounding states.

Awesome byway to drive specially during the fall season. The view is breathtaking. There are multiple viewpoints along the byway where you can stop by and enjoy the view. There are many hiking trails as well throughout the byway. You can stop by the camp grounds along the way for restroom access.

I drove this the entire length, 54 miles and back from Mena, Arkansas to Talihina, Oklahoma. It has scenic overlooks plus the highway itself it gorgeous. My only regret is that it was summer and not fall. I imagine that it is stunning in the fall.

Breath taking! ALL the colors were just amazing. This was the perfect weekend for all the turning leaves the colors were so brilliant
