Lake Murray is wonderful. Duke's Forest is one of the last campgrounds in need of an upgrade for the state park. We're hopeful that the state will do the upgrade soon. We host two huge camps per year here.

Place is awesome the only problem was we were reserved for space #2 and during the confirmation were sent to #1 so after setting up camp the ranger came around 2pm and told us the we had to move the mistake was made by the people who make the reservation really nice ranger so we moved over one space told us to take our time but other than that its a really beautiful place to camp.

Love the campground and area.....nice full service spots and tent camping......bathrooms with showers on site.....nice pavilion for gathering

It's not kept up that well. Lighting under the pavilion is so dim it doesn't really help at all. The bathrooms are smelly and not very clean. Good play ground but it's far from the camping spots.
