My husband and I were able to attend the Crabtree Marriott in Raleigh, NC on the occasion of its annual Unsung Heroes Banquet where my father was receiving a Humanitarian award in the office of deacon. The atmosphere was of anticipation and expectation for the honorees as well as the attendants. The conference was spacious and at least 700 individuals were in attendance. We were served chicken breast smothered in a creamy mushroom sauce, sauteed yellow and zucchini squash with red and yellow peppers, red new potatoes, and crumb crusted apple pie for dessert. Beverages were water, iced tea, and coffee. The wait staff were excellent and the food was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this particular hotel just for the ambiance and food alone!
