Pitt County Courthouse

After a year & 3 months of going to court. My husband was sentenced to 30 days in jail. I showed pictures where I had been bitten and neck bruised from being chocked. Had witnesses present to confirm the events had took place. And he only got 30 days for simple assault. Even tho he was a convicted felon & had a long history of assault on a female. The Domestic Violence Court in Trash. And that’s me being nice.

The court is way too crowded. Have to go to a whole separate floor to use the bathroom. I haven't seen them enforce their rules. It is easy to find. They do make you feel safe.

I have been to this courthouse on two occasions. Once was to pickup paperwork and the second was for a traffic ticket. I can only say when I went that there was a line stretching out of the court room. That is how many people were waiting. I was able to bypass all this by talking to an officer who told me to go talk to the county attorney etc. I went to that office and they settled the ticket then and there. They lowered the overall speed and said take this to the clerk and pay the fine. I was grateful.
