Great views of Grandfather Mountain one way and the Linville Gorge the other. A short uphill hike from the parking lot leads you to the smooth rock face which is great for a relaxing picnic or some stargazing. And it's large enough you can space out if there are a bunch of people up there

Awesome views for miles and miles. It's a short and fairly easy hike to the overlooks.
