This place is the best. I'm from the East Coast and the biscuits are just like moms. I had the bacon and egg with my coffee and it was like I was home. The coffee goes great with everything they serve. This is differently a 5-star breakfast and lunch place. There is plenty of seating outside. Its location is easy in and out.

Absolutely hands down the best sandwiches ever! After traveling all day and arriving at the cafe starving, they were cleaning up for the day, but offered us sandwiches. Homemade sourdough bread made in-house daily was delicious! We had the roast beef and Italian sandwiches , Mexican mocha and Honey Bee Oatmilk latte, everything was delicious. Thanks for making us a late lunch!

We were visiting the area and stopped by the Little Deer Café after a day of hiking. We arrived right at closing time, just after the open sign was turned off. Even so, the staff welcomed us in with a smile and friendly banter and served us coffee and snacks. The cinnamon caramel latte, honey bee (vanilla & honey) latte, and pecan maple scones were great! I wish they were located in our town!

What a great little place! Stoped in after hiking Linville Falls and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the chicken salad sandwich, roast beef and cheese sandwich, roasted red pepper and tomato soup, lavender iced tea, and coconut macaroons (we were hungry! lol). Everything was fresh and delicious and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!

We were heading back home from a quick trip to Boone and as we rounded the turn to hit the mountain roads I mentioned how I'd love to have a coffee. Pulled up Google maps and there was Little Deer Cafe. So we stopped in. My husband ran in and came back out with a mexican mocha for me and a honey bee latte for him. We ended up switching though, haha. He chatted with the owner about my gluten allergy and she was super friendly about everything. They have the option of gluten free bread for their sandwiches and said they have a separate preparation area for it!! He asked about their baked goodies and grabbed the gluten free peanut butter cookie and a coconut macaroon. Let me just say the coffee was a amazinnggg but if I hadn't of taken a bite of that peanut butter cookie before we got too far down the road, I would of made my husband turn around for several more!! Omg! PB cookies are my favorite and I can be a stickler about them. So when I say they're fantastic, they are fantastic!! Can't wait to go back again!!
