Great music. The funk band that played for us that night was awesome. It is incredible to see a full live band - of such high music quality - in a place that small. It feels like walking inside your living room and having a private concert! If you're in Boston looking for good music, definitely check Wally's out.

Tiny, Tiny, Tiny Jazz Club... Latin Jazz Night.... Authentic. A great time, not enough room for dancing. Beware no cover, but made up in the drink prices. I would give this place 5 stars, if it had a dance floor, and a stage. The band was awesome, talented, but unable to see band from the rear. People stand in the floor and block the view. So come early, find a table, don't expect to see the band... Enjoy some super fine live music.

I have been stoping in at this spot for over 35 years. I frequented it as a regular for most of the 80s as a college student and grad student and it's always consistent. Service with a smile, great jams and good people. These days I stop in a couple times a year for a beer and some social discourse. Still love it.

The music was truly a treat, and if one could go and simply enjoy the music it would be rated five stars. But the bartender was extremely rude, the second you walk in the door he barks at you go pull out an ID and Credit card. Charges a drink MINIMUM which is fair since they don't charge a cover charge, but then proceeded to kick us out after we didn't buy a second drink. That was the line for us, and we found the place to be extremely unwelcoming. Not to mention the lack of space and slow bar service because they are exceptionally understaffed. I would not recommend this place at all, and would rather go to a place that charges a cover charge since it would be cheaper than the expensive and small drinks they serve. In addition, the signs and the website says they open at 6, and there's a group of people waiting in the rain at 6 for them to open, only to be informed that they weren't going to open til 7 after standing there for 20 minutes past 6.
