I just moved to JP and have a 2002 Subaru ... we have not been using the car much lately because of the pandemic (no where to go). We took the car out on the highway and suddenly it was vibrating and making a lot of noise when turning and the brakes were stuttering. Another mechanic told us that we needed a new strut, new brakes and new tie rods. I then took the car to George. He was brutally honest about the car - its age, etc. he replaced the brake pads and discs, cleaned the tie rods and tightened everything up. It is now running like a dream! I can’t imagine why anyone would complain about him. He did not try to sell me on any unnecessary repairs. I am definitely bringing my car to him from now on!
Let's face it, it's a gas station. A few things make this my regular place to get gas. The staff and the staff. What can I say. The place is open early til late and always and I mean always, I'm greeted by pleasant folks - some whom have been there long as I can remember. They won't offer you tea, but there as nice as anyone in any service industry position.
I have lived in Jamaica Plain for almost 8 years now. I went to a few other places before I found this place. George is the owner and mechanic and I trust him completely. The other shops I went to wanted to fix multiple things on my car, but George told me there was either no rush or no need to. He has always tried to reduce any costs and given me ways to fix something myself. He has always fixed my car timely and without any issues. I won't go anywhere else.
