After rotator cuff surgery, my doctor recommended physical therapy. I chose to be treated at Whitney Atchetee Physical Therapy Clinic because I had been satisfied with therapy I received there several years ago after breaking my hand. This torn rotator cuff was a serious injury, and I was treated for a total of 4 months. At the initial meeting, Mr. Atchetee told me that there would not be pain during my physical therapy sessions. He said, “No pain, no gain” does not apply to this type of injury. He was true to his word. Each session helped me to be a little more limber and gave me more rotation. Initially, I went 3 times a week, then during the last 2 months, I went twice a week, but I realize that the treatment required depends on each person. I followed all of the prescribed exercises at home, which helped me even more. After 4 months, I was released and in a short amount of time, I began to return to my normal routine of using my arm in daily life. Mr. Atchetee answered all of my questions, and there were lots of them in the beginning because I wanted to understand what was happening to my shoulder and arm. He was knowledgeable, patient and kind and I felt comfortable each time I went for treatment. His staff is amazing and were also very kind and patient with me. I would recommend Whitney Atchetee Physical Therapy Clinic to anyone for any type of injury where physical therapy is required.
