A beautiful view of the city; well maintained park. Nice people, always something cool going on.nnOne random story, it was a morning and I was running in the park. I see a guy sitting on a bench with a trombone, just playing. He wasn’t looking for money; he was just looking at the city and the Mississippi while playing music. Simply perfect New Orleans moment.
I skate here often on weekends. I absolutely love the vibe, the people (mostly), and the music. It is truly a gift to the city. The bands that play are tributes to the spirit of the city. The dance troupes that practice here are such a delight to watch. It's a pleasant place with no irrational hangups. The park itself feels safe overall. The surrounding parking leaves a lot to be desired... I wish there were still institutional refuges for the deranged...
Great for runs, walks, or riding around. They have a good bit of benches to sit on and the park runs along the Mississippi river. The space for skating or riding bikes seems to be a big plus. There’s also an elevator for people who may have issues up and down the stairs to the park.
Great park if you're looking for a trail to run or ride a bike down. there's also covered concrete area you can roll it blade skateboard do yoga and it's wonderfully socially distant from one another up right near the river
Best view of the skyline in the entire city. Gorgeous new park with plenty of space to spread out, bring dogs and a few drinks for a perfect sunset date. Just wish there were more places to put up a hammock. I plan on making this a stop every time I'm in the Bywater, and will probably come just for this view!
