I had the pleasure of meeting Courtney Tate; manager (who DID NOT have on a mask) and staff who focused customer relations on 90% theft/shoplifting and 10% on customer service. ALL WERE RUDE towards her EXCHANGE.nMr. Tate DIRECTLY REFUSED to complete the transaction and told me to go to another journeys location. My 13 yr old attempted to EXCHANGE a Christmas gift during the managers absenteeism & the 7+ staff members were: unhelpful, unapologetic & unknowledable of Mr. Tate's where abouts & return time. As her parent advocate; I expressed my feelings and observations: ONLY IN THE URBAN COMMUNITY MALL such policies and procedures are put in place stating ONLY a manager has authorization to complete a RETURN transaction. This SHOULD NOT(in this mall ONLY)be acceptable nor the norm for us as a consumer. The ENTIRE staff was unable to provide answers, resolutions and customer support when I addressed and asked numerous questions such as;nWhy should I;the consumer be inconvenienced per your theft rate and policy?nWhy isn't ANOTHER MANAGER put in place of the absentee?nWhy is this policy ONLY at this location?nNeedless to say, none of my questions were answered or addressed NOT even by the manager. I ended up buying the shoes my child wanted. Last, I explained & expressed my concerns with Mr.Tate who BLUNTLY told me he would not be going back and forth with me on the matter. Well, Mr. Tate I will address corporate office with my current concerns and follow-up on this matter. Where I live and shop THIS IS NOT THE NORMAL policy & procedure ONLY IN THE URBAN COMMUNITY- Spend your funds WISELY! Only a few staff members had on ud83dude37 CORRECTLY!
