Great experience. Purchased some sapphire jewelry online and needed to have a qualified gemologist examine to ensure that the stones I received were consistent with the description. He spent time carefully testing and them providing me with a full education on the materials used in the piece, from the white gold, natural diamond surrounding stones, and the heat / diffusion treatments that had been applied to the center sapphire, and how that impacts value.nnIn the end, I left with a far more developed understanding of the pieces I had purchased, a sense of comfort that the price I paid had been reasonable, and an appraisal for insurance purposes.

I was happily impressed with the professionalism, the phenomenal knowledge and kindness that Robert Hurt, master gemologist exhibited during our meeting. I had jewelry appraised (he also spent time cleaning jewelry I brought with) for our insurance, our insurance company who was also impressed with the paperwork and knowledge and how in-depth the appraisal was!nI hope to bring more jewelry to be appraised as time goes on and needless to say, I highly recommend Buckhead Jewelry Appraisers (I got their number from the jewelry store that we have purchased much of our jewelry from)...
