We found Parklawn during a time that was so challenging for my family and I. We were connected with Josie, a Family Service Counselor at the park and we are so thankful. She took her time, answered all our questions and got to know our families and what was important to us. She made this process so much easier on us, we are truly thankful for her and finding such a beautiful resting place.
My father passed away 4 years ago, he had previously bought 2 spots in a mausoleum wall for himself and his wife. But when it was time for him to be placed in his, it had been resold and another body was inside. He had to buried at another cemetery and later his body disturbed and moved into the new mausoleum wall that was just built. A heartbreaking and disturbing experience for my grieving family.
I went to the cemetery this Memorial day weekend to pay my respect to those that had fought and lost their lives for our freedom, it was nice to see that the cemetery had put out so many flags on the gravesights,but the grass was not cut just another slap in the face to our Veterans and their families
Could not find my Grandfather’s headstone. The grounds were not mown. I waded through high weeds in search of his grave. I was embarrassed at the condition of the ground plus broken headstones.
