Every person in the building thinks they're better then everyone else, the cops and the judges make sure you know that too. I was harrassed by a cop, had my car carpet torn apart by the same officer as well as other damages. Went to court and asked for legal representation, and was refused "because I make too much money" Even though I'm poor and just lost my job, the court made no improvises I thoroughly believe this judge is unfit to be carrying out duties of a judge, he is making all decisions based on his personal beliefs and prejudices.

Do not ask them for a protective order. They will tell you frankly that it is your job to protect yourself and your children. Their un-empathetic judge will patronize you and tell you that you are not allowed to set boundaries with your abusers and that its your word against theirs even with proof and police reports. They will redirect you instead of your abuser and allow the abuser to bold face lie without charging them for lying under oath, when provided with police reports and actual well checks that state otherwise. Do not trust this jurisdiction to give you a fair trial. I had witnesses and wasn't even allowed to let them speak even though in my paperwork it stated have witnesses. The judge victim shamed me, and gave me less than 15 minutes to speak my request to be protected from my abuser, and when I showed that my abuser locked me out of my own residence I was cut off and again silenced. We are told as children to ask for help, to tell someone when we are being hurt. We are told that we are allowed to say no. To ask for help. But this jurisdiction allowed my abuser to continue to abuse me denying my protective order saying that I could just not contact this person or go to this persons house. That this person was allowed to harass me on Granite school district emails and taunt me, while lying in court saying "I don't know what all you have read" not even being able to be truthful about telling me to not let the door hit me in the "butt" she said "bottom" in the hearing, and the Judge had the emails of this person emailing me twice. This person is a social worker for granite school district and I was told to keep myself and children safe from her when she emailed me. How dare you claim to be a domestic violence judge. How dare you tell me to stay in my corner and avoid her. She was the woman who raised me I am not her equal I was a innocent child. You let her lie under oath and say I kidnapped my nephew take him from his bed. When the police report says I was innocent. You let her lie and say no one knew where I was. I told her I was taking my nephew, I called and spoke to my brother and left a message for my sister. How dare you let her lie under oath when you had the police reports in front of you. You failed me and my children and you allowed my abuser to further traumatize me and you shamed me. "Frankly" you need to be removed from your seat as a judge. "Frankly" you are a failure to all abused children, and I leave you to God. You and that woman can answer to the Creators for not keeping children safe. This woman looked me in the face and dropped my child down a flight of stairs and cracked her skull and bruised her liver. This woman told me to just die already and that my body would be found in a dumpster. THIS woman locked me out in the rain for hours then opened the door and said "The prodigal child has returned". Frankly Judge you are a disgrace. Update? She just mailed me a letter. Disgusting.

They are all using masks like their lives depends on it but that's a government building for you i guess. Pretty friendly people over all

As a defense attorney this is one of my favorite courts to appear in. Not because I always get a favorable result but because I always get a fair result. I've won jury trials there, bench trials there, motions to dismiss, and motions to suppress and more. I've always found the judge and his clerks to be professional, helpful and fair. Get a competent attorney in this court and you'll usually get a fair result.

Front desk and website is a joke, I’m sorry for anyone that gets a speeding ticket and wants to go to traffic court. Their website is misleading, they hangup on you when you call and do not have any real answers for you. Even with misleading website information they won’t waive late charges and instead will issue a warrant out for your arrest. You are better off getting a citation in Utah county!
