Located right beside The Priest Wilderness, this place is just as amazing as The Priest. The hike itself is long but not too strenuous, of course there are some steep sections. There's also two shelters on this section of the AT. The main overlook is amazing.

Three ridges is a spectacular wilderness just off the parkway that is well worth the visit. If you're up for a challenging hike start at route 56 and hike to Reed's Gap. 10.5 miles and 3000 feet of elevation gain. Many excellent views two shelters to camp at. Well worth the effort.

Good hiking from parking lot to Hanging Rock. It's worth it for the view.
