Turnpike Cafe is a good local place to stop in to grab a bite. The pastrami sandwich was piled with pastrami, cooked well keeping the meat moist and juicy with the bun holding being firm keeping the sandwich together until the last bite. Now typically, I don't finish off all my friends, but these were cooked so well that I couldn't help but gobble them all up. We're talking, crispy on the outside with fluffy potato inside, dusted with just enough salt to flavor it but not so much that I'm eating the Dead Sea. My friend got the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she said was crisp, fresh lettuce, topped with a healing mound of grilled chicken. The waitress was friendly and courteous, making it a nice time.
Though I haven't been there since the pandemic began, I've never been disappointed with there food. Always good!
Yesterday was our first time in this restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the finest cuisine and wine and with the comfortable payment. We will definitely go back there soon.
