As a citizen of town of windsor va I have great things to say about the sheriffs office when I needed them but What happened in the town of windsor va police department to the army soldier is cruel and unacceptable . The sheriff needs to Pressure the Chief of Police to Fire or arrest those officers for assault. Please send my message fast to the sheriff thank you have a good day.

My experience occurred on Joyners Bridge Rd where I met a huge deer and to avoid hitting it I went into a ditch. Deputy Sean Cox appeared as I stopped. He immediately stopped came over to make sure I was ok. He then called a tow truck and stayed with me the entire time until I was pulled out. Then he had us all go to the boat ramp to make sure I didn’t have any serious damage. Fortunately I was lucky and didn’t. He was so polite and kind but also very professional. I feel so very fortunate that he arrived on the scene. You are all so lucky having him and if all your deputies are like him you have done a great job training them.

I was pulled over last night by an officer in this department by officer C. Griffin, Badge number 0024. This guy must have been bullied in high school because he has some serious issues as far as abusing his powers as an officer. He pulled me over at 11 PM for speeding, while i was getting passed by cars that were in the left lane. When I promptly pulled over, he asked I pull to a more secluded area. When I did that, He followed by harassing me with over an hour of interrogations. These interrogations included 2 DUI tests, Making up charges that were on my record, asking to search my car and threatening me with the use of a canine. They even said that if I had taken my PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION, to which I hadn't taken that day by chance, that I would've been labeled unfit to drive and they would have taken me in and impounded my car. He accused me of being a liar, even when I told him I'm a certified paramedic he demanded to see my licencing information. He tried a number of mind games and intimidation techniques on someone who literally had been driving three hours and was just trying to make it home to get some sleep. This cop needs to focus on his job, which is law enforcement, not harassing innocent civilians on their way home. I understand he needs to make a quota, but that is no reason to try for hours to arrest innocent civilians. when someone is obviously obeying the law like I was, don't be stubborn! Move on! When I take this to court, I'm going to make sure to tell the judge everything I have today. As well as file a formal complaint with the department.

Quality home town feel. To this date every officer I met has been both professional and kind. I am strongly considering moving to their county.
