We’re between insurance after a job change and made an appointment with the health department to have my baby’s 15 month vaccinations done. When I got there they wouldn’t see her without her previous vaccination records. Which no one told me I’d need. It may sound common sense that they’d need those, but seeing as I’ve never been to a health department before and she was a ‘new patient’ they really should’ve told me to bring them with me so I didn’t waste my time dragging two kids in a monsoon rainstorm to an appointment where she wasn’t seen.nnThe building was also grungy, the kid play rug was filthy and when I tried to use the purell sanitizer dispenser on the wall, it came out thick and yellow. It’s obvious the health department isn’t healthy at all.nnOnly plus side to the visit was that the employee at the desk was friendly despite my frustration at the situation.
