Really everything was good here. We were there for restaurant week, not sure if the menu featured different items or not. But we had the crab salad and beets to start and loved them both. The short rib and lamb chop were great. The fried chicken wasn't the star, it was too sweet and not crispy. The dessert we preferred was the chocolate lava cake. The other one was a cheese cake with an apple pie crust which we just felt had conflicting flavors. Service was ok, only one waiter for the dining room (ten tables). Would definitely go back.

The Study at Morrison House offers a quiet restaurant within the Morrison House hotel. The best part is you can have some unique drinks including their take on a Manhattan which was quite smooth.nnYou can also order upscale fare including lamb chops and scallops. The scallops were nicely seared. Appetizers include the oysters which tasted fresh with a touch of lemon. Finally, I had the creme brûlée which was prepared with a delightfully crusted exterior and custard inside. As with any upscale restaurant you will want to bring the Benjamins to pay for it.

Service was great but food and drinks sub-par. Very warm and friendly staff. A piece of over-cooked but otherwise reasonably tasty salmon came on an unappetizingly huge mound of rather greasy root vegetables. Lamb chops were cooked to a perfect medium rare but needed to have been trimmed and came perched on an excessive blob of sauce, which covered up a few nice pieces of much appreciated (to help cut all the richness) broccolini. Their French 75 was like lemonade concentrate with gin, but they do serve a very nice beef tallow old fashioned.
