An absolutely incredible experience. 100% factual information on spy craft throughout the ages and true stories from international spies and their missions during the Cold War and more recent events. The museum had some of the most sophisticated exhibits I have ever seen and many were interactive and exciting for young kids. The theme of being a spy on a mission through the museum was such a great idea. A must do half day experience when visiting DC.
I absolutely LOVED the International Spy Museum!!! I did an Access to SPY Virtual 3 months ago and it was fun, but visiting this place in person was even better. Seeing all of the exhibits and participating in an undercover mission will be something I'll never forget. I can hardly wait to come back and visit this one of my favorite places I've ever been to real soon. ud83dudd74ud83cudffb ud83cudf0f ud83dudcf1 ud83dudd8a ud83dudd2c ud83eudd7c ud83dudee9 ud83dudc4dud83cudffb ❤ ud83dude03
What a cool place! They limited us to about 2 hours due to COVID, but I can't wait to come back when I can spend more time reading and watching every exhibit. The mission activities were fun and educational, but not all stations were working. The stylus you receive to prevent touching the screens with fingers falls apart easily too so bring your own if possible. The gift shop has great little items to bring back to friends and family plus games, books, and t-shirts. I'm a sucker for a great gift shop!
This is a nice museum. I went here while I was in DC and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into this museum and went up to the admissions desk, where I paid for a ticket to get in. Once I did that, I went up to the second floor of the museum, which is all about spying, surveillance, spy agencies, spy equipment, and spying through history. I looked at the exhibits, all of which were pretty good. There’s an air duct with noise sensors that you can crawl through to see how quiet you could be. I went through the air duct and I managed to get through pretty quietly. After I did that, I went through the rest of the floor. There was a model of a recorder and spy camera hidden inside a tree stump that was used by the KGB. After I looked at that and other exhibits, I went down to the first floor of the museum, which has exhibits all about James Bond. I looked through the exhibits, which were pretty nice. After I went through the hose exhibits, I left the museum, satisfied with my experience. I gave this museum five stars because it has nice exhibits.
Amazing place to visit for adults as well as kids above 6. You could easily spend 3-4 hours and not get bored. The museum has number of exhibits that discuss history of spying all the way from 15th century to gadgets used. It also has several interactive exercises. Unlike other museums, the gift shop has some cool items for purchase that are also priced reasonable. Kids under 6 can visit for free. I can easily visit this 2 more times.
