The hotel itself was a little run down and out dated. The bathroom did not have hot water and the room could have been cleaner. No breakfast either. Got stuck in the elevator going down. The only positive here I would have to say is the service. Sheree at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. If some updates were done here it would nice.
We stayed at this property in advance of an early am flight out of Reagan. We checked in stopping 10 pm and Antoinette at the front desk was extremely personable and polite. The common areas, including the lobby, elevator and hallway, were well lit, clean and kept.nnWe stayed in a single king room on the 7th floor. The room was clean and comfortable. The a/c was set a bit low for my preference on arrival, but quickly got comfortable when adjusted. The clock was set fast by 20-odd minutes.nnWe requested a 430am wake up call. When the call came and was answered there was no pleasant response, simply a hang-up.nnWhen checking out, the front desk attendant was substantially less personable, borderline rude and seemed to be annoyed at having to check us out and told me he couldn't provide a receipt, I would have to check my email. This is the sole reason for a 4 instead of 5 star review. The shuttle to the airport we had requested at 5am did not arrive until 515. The driver was pleasant.
When I first arrived my experience was wonderful and professional. Sheree Johnson at the front desk not only took care of the customers in front of me she left me wanting to book with this hotel in the near future. I travel all over the world so it's really great whenever you receive Impeccable service.
I stay at this hotel frequently and it is a wonderful accommodation. The hotel is clean, the staff are great. They stay low key and it is a good value. I will pick the Holiday Inn any time for my stay in Crystal City.
The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. Also a convenient location for DC. That's about all the good we can say about our visit. The room needed to be cleaned again when we got there, one of the lamps had a short so it kept flashing on and off in the middle of the night, the toilet didn't seem to want to flush no matter what you did, and here were no condiments for the coffee.
