My boyfriend and I needed a quick & safe getaway from Richmond VA. Thompson DC exceeded our expectations. From check in, everything felt safe and was very easy! Our room was amazing, everything from the adjustable TV mount to the comfy couch made our in room experience simply wonderful! Our welcome note and amenity was the perfect final touch that confirmed this hotel is awesome!!nThe area has a ton of amazing local restaurants, next time we are back in town hopefully we can try the hotel restaurant and rooftop soon! We will be back!

I recently booked a staycation at the Thompson Hotel DC and loved it! It has a boutique feel while having all the amenities of an upscale hotel. Jason at the front desk made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. The hotel lobby and rooms have a cool, modern, urban vibe. My river view room was beautifully decorated with high end materials and Sferra sheets on my extremely comfortable bed. I had the best night sleep in such a long time! The room was very clean and even had the remote control and other items wrapped in plastic! I was excited to explore the Navy Yard area as it has changed so much since the last time I had been there. So many amazing restaurants and shops mixed in between the new urban living condominiums. A nice community feel rather than being a touristy destination. I highly recommend the Thompson Hotel DC for business or leisure travel--what a treat to be on the riverfront whether for work or play while being so incredibly close to all the DC attractions and businesses. I felt like I went on a short vacation, felt refreshed and look forward to staying there again very soon!

Great new hotel that's only been open since January 2020. Short walk to the riverfront. Basically a block away from Nationals Park. Great restaurants in walking distance, as well as about two blocks from the Metro station. Hotel is very modern, with naval/maritime touches. Had the junior suite, which was only 420sq. feet, but was a great use of the space, for a hotel actually in D.C. Had a sitting living-room-type area, and a good size bathroom. Bed was very spacious & comfortable. There's a rooftop here that's still operating, and has a restaurant that does happy hour & dinner daily. Everything was sanitized, and social distancing happens here. Hotel has a deck for parking included. Great hotel in the Hyatt portfolio. Would highly recommend.
