Second stay at an autograph collection hotel. First one was Norfolk Light and Glass hotel which was amazing. I figured Marriot would have standards for their autograph collection. I was wrong. Morrison house was disappointing. Room was dated (not in a good way). Thermostat had wild temperature swings every hour. 60 degrees one minute. 80 degrees the next, without even touching settings. Bathroom was something akin to a Days Inn. Paid extra for a corner king room for some (hopefully) good views. Window one was dumpsters. Window two was a huge power transformer that was a mess of tangled wire. Window three was a view of a rusted metal roof like something from a third world slum. Never should have upgraded. We will try autograph collection hotels again but certainly to this one.
What a wonderful place! Between the food and the staff, everything was great. We recently had a wedding here and our wedding planner was Ashley DaSilva who helped us every step of the way. Thank you Morrison House for an unforgettable night!
My favorite hotel. I've stayed at some fancier places, but it's the personal touch and amazing service that sets this place apart.
