Wonderful Staff but HORRIBLE BOARD OF DIRECTORS! What could be a charming museum has morphed into a private club where “outsiders” are made to feel unwelcome. Donating money to this place is akin to dumping an investment into swampland. New blood and fresh ideas are desperately needed ASAP, so that this Nantucket art form isn’t lost. This Board of Directors are not the caretakers they make themselves out to be, and the people of Nantucket are being done a great dis-service by them
I'm not into weaving baskets or the like yet this place was cool. seeing and understanding how this fine art is done is really cool.

Good film. Great displays. Friendly staff.
Not very big but really interesting. There are some amazing baskets on display as well as live basketmaking. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes for a visit, if you can work it in you should.
