This experience was amazing and the crew was fantastic. Boarding was simple and efficient. We arrived at the manta location about an hour early and were given the opportunity to free snorkel. Most of the other boated kept there passengers on the boat, sad for them. I saw 6 mantas before the sun even set. Once the sun set and the lights were on we all held onto the light board and watched the show. There were a lot of mantas and they came within inches of us and was so much more exciting then I would have imagined. On the ride back we had some nice snacks and hot chocolate. The crew hung out and told stories and shared some of their experiences with us. Over all I gave it 5 stars but that’s only because I can’t click more. I would recommend this company to anyone and every one. Loved it. Mahalo

Crew was professional, polite and allowed everyone to feel comfortable with the trip. Some people became sea sick and the staff appeared to be very helpful for them. We saw four manta rays, not as close as would have liked and they went very quickly. The company gave everyone on the boat for the evening the opportunity to take another cruise with Kamanu, any trip- dolphins, sunset, whale watching, manta ray. We saw several whales breaching on the way to the adventure and one quite close to us, which was amazing.nnThe only annoying thing about the trip was what seemed to be a misunderstanding of procedure amongst some of the passengers, especially one who brought a hydrophone with on the snorkel event. In order to see the Manta Rays, everyone on the floatation device was told to float flat and still on their stomachs. The man with the hydrophone was very fidgety, often kicking his feet down, pointing the hydrophone all over the place, scaring away fishes. One passenger even asked him at one point to stop kicking. Since the rest of us there wanted to see Mantas, and were told that any movement from us would scare away Mantas, it would have been nice if the crew would have insisted that the man put away the hydrophone and follow the floating rules or get back on the boat, especially after being alerted by the passenger who asked the man to stop.nnOverall, though, the crew was knowledgeable and helpful and I would recommend Kamanu for ocean adventures.

I highly recommend Kamanu. We did the dolphin swim. We did many things during our stay in Hawaii, this was by far the most memorable. Our guides were Mike and Meredith, they were friendly and personable while keeping light humor for the duration of our trip.. Meredith made certain everyone was comfortable, informed and given the correct gear while taking the time to speak to everyone in the group individually. Mike was informative and made certain to get us in front of the dolphins, his sense of humor was a nice addition to the trip. The water was amazingly blue, clear and warm. The dolphins were amazing as was the reef we snorkled around. The colorful fish and coral were beautiful. The experience was much like a page out of National Geographics. We will certainly be back for the experience on our next trip to the Big Island. Kudos to both Mike and Meredith!!!

Great time with a very entertaining staff. We laughed our tails off and had a great day snorkeling. If you are in the area, don't pass up a trip with these folks.
