The falls were very impressive. A real sight to see. Also a nice hike through bamboo and banyan trees. Could we spent about 25 minutes walking the loop.nnThe parking and entrance fees were a bit ridiculous. Parking in the main lot was $5, now it's $10. Entrance to the falls was $1, now it's $5. Park right outside the lot for free.

This was a beautiful park! The walk included banyan trees, huge bamboo growth, ferns, and many other plants and flowers I haven't yet identified. The falls themselves were gorgeous and impressive ... easily accessible through the lovely town of Honomu and fields of impressively large sugar cane with the omnipresent chickens and a few peahens along the way :)

We drove nearly 2 hours to see the falls while it down poured rain.nSO BLOODY WORTH IT!nWhat a great walk, path... plants and critters everywhere despite the heavy rain at times. You are in a rainforest!nThe falls were stunning. We stayed quite a long time. But there is so much more to see than just the falls!

The lady who works at the park was very friendly and knowledgeable about a little hike route to the falls. If you would like to take your time it's about 30 min we did it within 15 min but really enjoyed it. Just FYI they closed gate at 4:30pm n so no one can come in n let you out until 5:30pm.

The park itself was great, but the gates to the parking lot were closed and a sign was posted stating that it was closed due to funding. This caused chaos on the road as people tried to turn around with cars parked on both shoulders. It seems leaving the gate open to allow the turnaround area to be used would be much safer.
