ULU Sushi Lounge

So glad we decided to drop by! Initially we planned to see the sunset over drinks but decided to stay for dinner. Seating is limited in the lounge but service is friendly and food is delicious - same as the full ULU restaurant.

We were able to enjoy ULU's omakase. Amazing tasting menu that featured fresh fish. Highly recommend.

If you find yourself unable to secure a reservation at the main Ulu restaurant, getting ‘first-come, first-serve’ seats at the Ulu Sushi Lounge is a good alternative for last minute decision-makers. Come for drinks or stay for dinner as you overlook ocean waves and enjoy the sunset. Highly recommend the coconut poached kanpachi.

Easily the best dining experience available on the Big Island. Of course, you also pay for what you get, but the prices are mostly justified for the amazing quality of food you receive.nnAmazingly friendly service served with aloha, excellent quality nigiri that reminded me of Japan, and a very diverse list of high quality sakes. The non-sushi menu also has plenty of quality options (make sure to try a few of these dishes), and don't skip the dessert menu (your taste buds with thank you). Also a gorgeous view of the coast from the seating area, and if you time your reservation right, you get to watch an amazing sunset.nnFree self-parking as part of the Four Seasons Resort property.

Dream location to watch Hawaiin sunset, at a private beach front. Fresh fish, good service, well worth the price.
