People who give this cinema a 5star rating have never been to a movie theater that actually earns one.nAfter driving my wife into Hilo to see a movie she and a lot of other people were in line to see, only to be turned away without an explanation and extremely depressed Again.nWe will be driving to the Kona side for a matinee and evening showing at a cinema that works to accommodate avid movie goers.

Last day in Hilo watched unhinged. Lots of great seating staff Lots of aloha friendly and courteous. Prices awesome

We went to a movie and was waiting for it to start and it wasn't starting, so we had to go tell them. It took awhile but finally it came on. Other then that, no one else in the theater.

Paid for tickets and was told couldn't go in, was searched the second I tried to go in and was told I couldn't bring an unopened bottle of vodka I had bought to bring home later into the theater with my bag. Asked if I could leave it up front behind the concession stand or in the office and they refused. Asked for a refund and they said it could take up to a week to refund my ticket. Never had this happen before. I give plenty of movie to this theater all the time and shouldn't have been treated this way.

The chairs were really close together. Popcorn was alright, hard any better but the service is good and employees were friendly. I've been soiled with the reclining chairs and legroom on Oahu.
