Honokaa Public Library

A great little town library. A comfortable atmosphere with great seating options. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would spend time here if I lived in Honoka'a.

I love our library. For books and movies/DVDs especially for those who live off grid or don't have costly cable/satelite. A Big Thanks to all of the Honokaa library staff.

I lived on Paauhau Plantation and attended Honokaa Middle School and High School. Graduated from the high school in 1959. There wasn't much to do in Paauhau and Honokaa in those days, so my Mom drove my friend Violet Umamoto and I to the library on Saturdays and we'd spend a good portion of the day perusing the shelves and reading the magazines and signing out books that we'd read during the week and return the following week. Then, we'd borrow some more books. Mrs. Thevenin (sp?) was the librarian at the time. I have fond memories of those days and that little library. Since then, I have travelled the world and have visited libraries in most of the places I visited, but none has meant so much to me as the Honokaa Public Library where I spent so many precious hours.

Nice and comfortable, adequate computers and stations to charge devices for a small town. Exterior and layout of the library has an old feel to it.
