Alii Health Center

The Ali'i Health Center monitors their intake process with great care. If you notice the intake sheet, it is constantly changing. That is excellent. Someone is paying attention and constantly updating their intake information and making sure that the clinic is safeguarded against bringing Covid-19 into their premises. I feel safe when I have to go to the Ali'i Health Center because of the time and attention they put forth for mine and everyone's safety in these troubled times. Thank you!

They were absolutely amazing when my husband and I thought he was having a heart issue because we had seen our dog get hit by a car. We were both so distressed and I thought I'd lose him too. They saw us immediately, even though there were no openings, and spent time with us to diagnose his issue. Wonderful helpful people, very caring and knowledgeable. Great experience!

Quick check in. Dr was fabulous. This doctor had gone over all of my tests and knew about me before I even started talking to him. He had read everything from the past six years and noticed all details. He then asked me relevant questions. He took time with me. He has a great sense of humor and seems to have A broad knowledge and a lot of experience. This is one of the best doctors I’ve seen on Hawaii Island during the 50 years I have lived here. Unfortunately, just like two of the other doctors that were fabulous, they left or are leaving to go back to the mainland. This doctor is highly recommended and he will be sorely missed.

Great people .... Doctor Derbes spent a lot of time with me. He was very informative and welcomed my questions and made me feel comfortable about my health issues. I appreciated his knowledge of my heart history and what steps we will be doing in the near future. I left the appointment feeling confident to be in his care. His staff was helpful, competent and courteous.

They have good doctors. The problem is some of their employees at the front desk are completely incompetent. I've left my name and number twice with the manager to talk about my issues and she doesn't even have the courtesy to call back. My doctor there ( DR. Thomas )which was excellent left but here are just a few issues I've had with the front desk. My last doctors appointment was cancelled one hour before my appointment and never rescheduled. I called to reschedule and the were supposed to call back but never did. 3 weeks ago I called about a covid 19 test and pushed # 5 to leave my name number and message. They never returned my call. I've tried to get another doctor there but this has been a problem. I finally got an appointment. The soonest they had was 6 weeks on Dec 7. When I called back two days later to see if they could put me on a list for people who might cancel they had no record of my appointment. My wife was listening to the call on speaker phone and said the girl who made the appointment sounded like she was stoned. Maybe she was since she never made the appointment she said she made. It is very sad because there are some nice professional girls that work there. It seems there are a couple of bad apples and an inconsiderate manager that cares nothing about correcting problems or about customer service.
