Wonderful thoughtful and very caring doctor and staff. Office is ‘Classic hawaii’ meaning warm and inviting without being stale and new. Just moved to the island and have multiple issues that need monitoring. I feel I’m in good hands.

Dr. Don Nikaitani has been my doctor for over 30 years. After suffering through a long unexplained illness that every other doctor I saw could not figure out, I went to see Dr. Nikaitani. I remember that first office visit very well. He said he would not stop until he got to the bottom of it, and that is exactly what he did. I can honestly say, I find him very caring and knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen, and answer any questions. Whatever health issues come up it is a relief to know that I am getting the very best care.

It was very challenging to find a great primary care physician in Kona, coming from Northern California, the center of the most technologically advanced health care systems. One of which I acted as the Internal Corporate Compliance Healthcare Auditor. I have a several medical challenges, and really required a physician that had a comprehensive understanding of general practice, as well as coordinating care with specialists, and knowledgeable in specialized conditions. Dr. Nikaitani is both knowledgeable and extremely aggressive in the care and development of treatment plans. What I appreciate most is that Dr. Nikaitani is very honest and direct, while willing to advocate for his patients. He may not always tell you what you want to hear, but he always tells you what you need to hear in order to make informed, healthy decisions for the most optimum outcome. Bjoarne, Dr. Nikaitani’s assistant, assumes the role of an amazing patient concierge specialist, that coordinates care, appointments, referrals and questions between patients and the doctor. I would recommend Dr. Nikaitani to anyone looking for a new physician, or looking to change physicians.

I thought Everyone from the receptionist- to the nurses, and dr. Nikaitani, very personable, and the doctor very thorough- I highly recommend !
