Dr Arthurs is an excellent “country doc”. He knows about everything. His style is relaxed, easy going and he communicates well. His practice is growing with an additional 2 docs, PA and NP, so your choice of a personal “doc” from this great practice is varied and unique. Each person who works in this office is well qualified, helpful and warm. I am treated like Ohana. This is precious and rare in healthcare. I am so thankful for Hawaii Family Physician’s.

I have been a patient here for over 12 years. Recently they have expanded their offices and services. Dr. David Arthurs - the owner of the practice has let his patients down by not being available to discuss medical issues. He relies on his staff to communicate everything, and does not personally get involved. He prescribed a medication for me, but it was the wrong one! This went un-noticed for 7 days!! I tried to sort it out with him, but was refused by his staff, to speak directly with the doctor. Out of frustration, my advocate (husband) and my pharmacist also tried to communicate directly with Dr. Arthurs - he refused the calls. His staff refused to relay messages and were rude and very unprofessional to all of us. They do not respect the doctors hippocratic oath nor does his staff understand the outcome of their actions. Extremely unprofessional and an unhealthy environment for patients.

This doctor told my mother she had cancer and she didn’t have cancer she had pre-cancer. She had to live with the thought she had cancer for days until another dr reviewed the results and it wasn’t cancer it was dictated carcinoma in situ (pre-cancer) This doctor call when he got the results and left a voice message say “you have cancer “ that’s it who does this? Don’t use this guy he has no compassion for people
