Rough road off the pavement, better have a Jeep, Subaru, or other four wheel drive vehicle or be prepared to walk to get close to the spectacular ocean views. Years ago I was here when two big wave sets came different directions. Impressive!

What a great place to watch the sunset. The environs are quite different from the rest of the surrounding areas, and definitely worth the drive to see the sprawling grasslands, the waves in the lava rocks, and even a green sand beach.
