Pioneer Church

TLDR/ Staff: Friendly and Knowledgeable Ambiance: Casual, Mission: Love God, Find Community, Verdict: A God Centered Church.nnAfter moving to Auburn, during the pandemic, we were searching for a place to belong. We had been looking for a church home since last March and when Pioneer Church launched, we heard about it through a friend and decided to go to their first in person service. The newness of the church made it easy to social distance and the staff and volunteers made me and my husband feel welcome and safe. They practice all the requirements for in person gatherings and I have watched them go out of their way to make every attendee feel safe and valued. It was easy to get connected and meet new friends and we already feel like we are a part of the pioneer community after only about 2 months of attendance, but the truth is we felt a sense of belonging right when we were greeted and given our temperature check. While this church is somewhat unconventional, meeting in Auburn, in a storefront at the Outlet Collection (Formerly the Super Mall), the atmosphere is so welcoming and inclusive that it feels normal but new at the same time. I have not felt so at home with a church or group of people ever. The sense I get is that this is a church that wants to be present in the community, to meet Auburn where it is at and to be a place where you can belong and grow both emotionally and spiritually. Regardless of if you are new to the area, or have lived here for years, if you are looking for a God centered church, where there is room to grow, room to question, and a place for you on the team, this is your new church.
