I have worked at Western since it opened and there are great things happening on this campus. The achievement gap has been cut in half, all students have access to Chromebooks, sports and field trips each year. The staff who genuinely cares and I am proud to be a Warrior.

This is the first school I've worked at that explicitly focuses on long-term goals, not just short-term goals. I came to Western after teaching in Miami, Florida, for 3 years, so the Miami-Dade school district is my point of comparison (4th largest in the country). I find the Western administration to be much more organized and supportive than my past experience, and the result is that all teachers are innovative & caring, and are constantly trying new things to improve teaching methods. The student body has a much higher percentage of students who are motivated to be academically successful. Students who struggle with appropriate classroom behavior are very supported to modify their actions and learn boundaries -- preparing them for whatever they choose to take on after k-12 education. 100% of the current seniors have post-secondary school options, illustrating that the school cares about helping every student plan next steps.

Education wise is great and not as strict as some schools. Includes Stem and Avid program for students who would like to take advanced classes. Some students are a little judgmental. Staff are super nice and .som are strict and some are not but they just want the best for you. You get to have a personal laptop for homework and projects. After school curricular activities:football team, cheerleading,volleyball, dance,cross country,basketball (boys &girls)

I saw many many things in that school and education isnt bad but it's not good and I was forced in that picture
