They really need to pave this lot and install a bathroom. This trailhead gets a lot of use and the investment is totally justified.

Very nice, a little tough with small children though. Make sure to take photos as you walk up. The scenery at the top is actually less impressive than in between.

South Mountain always has so much to offer. I’ve been dying to meet this trail ever since I first saw the zig zag from the 203 freeway. Let me say, it didn’t disappoint! It’s rated as moderate but I would say, the incline was a bit of a huff and puff. I was there, maybe about 8am—a bit later than usual, so, it was somewhat busy half way through the trail. Once the end trail met with Kiwanis, it was a circus! 6 mile roundtrip and completely amazing! Will be going back often!

Very good hike but trails need to be groomed a bit for safety.
