Virginia city is a cool step back in time. St. Mary in the mountains is a well kept relic. It was loaded with history and the architecture is awesome in a literal sense.

Absolutely gorgeous! This is a must see church in Nevada! They also have have a museum in the basement behind the church...it was so cool and it is filled with a ton of history and beautiful old days decor ❤ We love visiting Virginia City and this is a must see everytime!

I went up there to pickup my St.Micheal's pendant and took these ABSOLUTELY STUNNING photos of St.Mary's. This is a must see!! These pictures only show a small portion of the true beauty of this magnificent Church!! ud83dude01ud83dude07❤

This is the most beautiful church I have ever seen. It just feels amazing to be surrounded by so much beauty and history. Be sure to visit the museum downstairs too. So much to see.

We took the free self tour of this cathedral and museum. Friendly parishoners shared the local history and made it a nice visit. The building is goth and gorgeous, an amazing contrast to the old western looking town around it. There was even a small ghost town ruin in the blocks behind the building.
