I have had injuries from car accidents, sports, etc. and have tried PT in the past, not believing in it. A friend of mine in yoga one day implored me to give them a try, which I thought why, PT had not worked for me in the past.nnThis place changed my life. They do strain counter strain techniques of adjustments, and train their patients to help themselves with exercises for once specific injuries and issues.nnI have tried everything, acupuncture, chiropractic, Feldenkreis, and Rolfing. If you want to feel better, and be willing to do your part, meaning follow the exercises daily, this place will make a huge difference in your life, no question

I've worked with Dan McClanahan for the past couple of years on and off. He has helped me to address back and shoulder issues that I have not found comparable help for elsewhere. I sought care from about half a dozen practitioners and Dan was the only one able diagnose and treat the issues I was struggling with. He is truly a healer and there is an energy and attention there present in the office and among the staff and assistance that is magical. It is difficult to get in regularly unless you schedule well in advance- but the care offered here is worth the extra planning. Thanks to everyone at Hands On.

Monica, the front desk person was very rude and condescending when I called to schedule a appointment. I was told to call back later because she hasn’t checked her voicemails. Im not sure if they treat all potential new customers like this. Hopefully someone from their organization reads this and gives her a general overview of how to speak to people on the phone. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere....

Professional and knowledgeable staff, friendly front desk. The physical therapy they do here is different than most places as there is no emphasis on strengthening. They focus on doing neuro-muscular releases, stretches, isometric exercises, etc. I have had mixed results. For my shoulder/elbow issue it was completely ineffective (and I spent about $400 in treatments since I didn't have insurance at the time). For my neck/back, I had decent results. I think they could improve their therapies by getting patients to work on strengthening as well. In my personal experience, most physical imbalances or injuries eventually need strengthening as well. They do their jobs very well, but it is a very focused type of treatment.

This office is an egotistical landmine. Some therapists are good, and some are not. Scheduling is a major downfall. If no appointments are available, you just don't get treatment, indefinitely. This forces the client to see a variety of staff. Sometimes I left the office in tears, the therapist hurt me that much. But if I did not take that therapist, there were no appointments. I hated it here. I thought they were negligent in care, and client's progress. As long as they had more clients coming in, Dan really did not care.
