Blue Swallow Motel

Absolutely top notch in every way. Beautiful period correct hotel on Route 66 with every iconic aspect one would expect. On top of that, the rooms were very nice with top quality beds. The folks running the motel were not only historians of the motel but consummate hosts. I just dove with my daughter across the country and our stay at this beautiful place was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your fabulous and nostalgic time capsule! Rob and his wife Dawn make sure all their guests are treated like friends and family. My brother and son stayed with them on Saturday and were blown away with how wonderful they were. The motel was a time warp of historical greatness. I had an odd request, I wanted to get a picture of my truck under the neon sign, Rob made it happen! Mid week we decided we would book another night on our return trip home. It truly felt like we were coming back to spend the night with friends. We sat with them in the lobby and caught them up on all our adventures from the week, and went through pictures. Rob and Dawn are awesome! If you are in the area, book yourself a night at the Blue Swallow and see for yourself how a motel/hotel experience should be!

Service is first for this review. Anyone can make something clean and pretty but it takes good people to make it an awesome stay. Robert and Dawn chatted it up with us for a while and gave the whole tour. I only wish we could have hung out and enjoyed the little area more. Almost everything was original from the 50s and the pictures you'll get a dusk are amazing. Perfect route 66 experience.

It was a great place to stay! You actually felt like you in the 50's. The owners were fabulous and so nice. The place was extremely clean and ver well maintained. We will stay here again, hands-down.

The Blue Swallow is a one-of-a-kind experience. The property is teeming with history. The beautiful neon signs, original decor, and overall atmosphere makes it feel like a true getaway. The owners will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, and will try and answer any questions you may have in a kind and thorough manner.
