Ute Lake State Park

Beautiful area!! Amazing people! Camped at new cottonwood campgrounds and they are very nice. Much more shade than the rest of the campsite available right now. We went fishing and swimming over at Rogers campground. We caught some catfish on chicken liver and a white bass and a large silver spinner. The water was somewhat cold in the morning but quickly warmed up to swimming temperature. We floated around and kayaked all over. Ute lake is an amazing place.

Large spacious lots, but getting here takes nothing short of a miracle. RV trip wizard and Google maps kept bringing me to other sections of the park and dead ends. Could get no assistance from the phone number listed. Give yourself extra time and gas to find this place.

Love this place, beautiful and peaceful, no hurry here, get away to a place that will bring a sense of peace and well being back into your soul. There is few places in the world that are as relaxing as Ute Lake. Logan New Mexico is approx 30 miles NE of Tucumcari, New Mexico on Hwy 54 north. Logan is the little country store on the shore of the lake. Quite little town with very friendly residents.

Not really open properly. Not hoid for swimming. Just boating.

A big body of water in the middle of nowhere! Had our doubts but turned out to be a great experience. It's a large lake with a marina and also several other boat ramps around the lake to chose from. Great fishing and all the space you'll need for water sports. The very friendly village of Logan has more than a few restaurants, 2 gas stations with liquor and beer. One grocery store and Doller General that keep camping supplies. There's many RV parks and campgrounds to chose from around the lake and in town. There's also a super nice golf course on the south side of the lake!
