Mogollon Theatre

The Mogollon Theater build in 1925 is part of the Mogollon Ghost Town. Although called ghost town there are people living there. There are many good photo opportunities, including the Theater, some old cars and buildings. It is nice but, a little scary drive, from the main road to the ghost town.

The old ghost mining town of Mogollon is a special place. It's not very well known and off the beaten path, but has a lot of history, surrounded by nature and the wilderness and quaint buildings that date back to the 1800's. it's experienced it's share of natural disasters over the years, most recently a fire that burned parts of the Gila Wilderness and last winter, there was a flash flood that took out the road and some of the buildings. But the road is being rebuilt and the town is coming back better than ever. The creek runs thru the center of town. A great B%B Silver Creek Inn, located in a renovated old building will host your overnite stay. Mogollon is a secret getaway right in the middle of the Gila Wilderness with hiking and fishing right out your back door!
