Great school, great campus and great staff. The teachers are enthusiastic and passionate about teaching; it's refreshing to see. They offer great electives in Chinese, Architecture Design, ASL, and so many others and have great programs in AVID and GEAR UP, to offer more college preparedness to their students.

Beyond proud to be a student at San Marcos High school. Not only do all of us work hard to keep our grades up but we are also encouraged to do so, and given means to be able to with many after school tutoring programs and the ability to rent items such as calculators or cameras for educational or artistic purposes. With that said, what I've noticed from the years that I have attended San Macros High, is that though sometimes my character can contradict with a teacher's, the teacher is still always ready to help and sincerely cares about my progress. Also SMHS is phenomenal in that as a school, all students work positively in a collaborative and encouraging environment or work just as well individually and quietly but still express the shine of Pride that comes with being a knight. From the various clubs a teen can express his/her self in, to sport team he/she can be part of, to just spending time with fellow students, a teen will never have spent a better high school experience, anywhere else, then in San Marcos High School. (Graduating year 2017).

came here for a nursing graduation in the auditorium and it is huge! made me remember my high school auditorium and laugh. this place seems so modern and high tech, makes me happy for the kids that go here. it's very clean too

I went here when the school was in a trailer park setup. Good time. Long live Mr. T.nClass of 2013.

While the high school looks like a junior college, surprisingly, it doesn't even have a swimming pool. The swim teams and the water polo teams must train at the local college. My biggest complaints with this school are cell phones, substitute teachers, and the block schedule. Cell phone use in classrooms is rampant. Substitute teachers are overused. And the block schedule wastes valuable classroom time. There are no studies showing the block schedule improves academic performance.
