I have always enjoyed shopping here. For over 20 years this was my go-to jeweler. I don't know if the employees are on hourly these days or if there is no incentive for them to be nice, work with a sense of care, etc. Today in Newark/Heath I was disappointed. I was repeatedly asked to take a seat when I was browsing the jewelry cases. In there for over 20 minutes and still not even asked what I came in for. Went down to Dunkin's Jewelers in the Mall and they immediately greeted me and after browsing a bit, my almost 16 year old daughter and I were able to design our own ring. 10k gold, diamond (her birth stone) and amethyst (her recently departed grandmother's birth stone) with much better service than I have ever gotten at Kay's.

Very unimpressed with how I was treated by the manager and an employee today. I attempted to take in some jewelry today but they refused to even touch them. I am unable to wear a mask due to health issues... I kindly let them know that, they requested me to go outside with my 4 year old, it was 19° out in heath at noon. They were literally right there.. yet still refused to even touch my jewelry. I have never felt so discriminated against.

I purchased a bracelet here around ten years ago. The sales person, at the time, lied to me of what the bracelet was actually made of. I was informed it was stainless steel, onyx, embedded with three diamonds. It's all stainless steel with diamonds and not onyx. What has me upset is I have brought this bracelet in every six months as I was told to do. Covid cut me off around my six month check up and one of my diamonds fell out. They can't seem to fix it as they guaranteed. The sales man also informed me they didn't sell it to me as they don't put diamonds in onyx. This was rather funny, as it isn't onyx.I did in fact purchase my bracelet with Kay, and with such disrespect/unprofessionalism, I will not be returning ever again. I am in search of a wedding ring now, which leaves me with Kay competitor.
