I bought a beautiful Mendota gas fireplace from Clapper's in 2015. I was very happy with my purchase and installation. Robb serviced the fireplace the first two years. When I called to have it serviced the third year, Robb never returned my call. I don't know why. It is very difficult to have a fireplace serviced from a dealer other than the one from whom you made your purchase. I called Robb again this year and once again he never returned my call. I am very disappointed that he never has given me the courtesy as to why he can't or is unwilling to service the fireplace I bought from him.. It doesn't make sense to me and unfortunately, it doesn't speak well for him.

Mendota fireplace wouldn't start (5 years old) - Rob came as scheduled (even a bit early) and found board needed to be replaced. Had it in his car and fixed up in less than an hour. Very professional, pleasant and even cleaned the glass so it looks like new!nn- Thanks!

Robb was great to work with. He made sure all work was done properly; great communications, he and his people were always on time for any appointments, and he answered all questions and made sure we were comfortable with the use of our new fireplace - which looks and works great! Very easy to work with.

Robb came to our home several times to check the site before installing our gas fireplace insert. He helped us understand how the process would work and what to expect from N. Grid, plumbers and inspectors. When he did the work he was quick and clean. His plumber was fantastic coming out on a Sunday to hook us up.
