Excellent food!!!! Makes you feel good about outdoor service during pandemic covid

The food here is awesome! Everyone at my table ordered something different and nobody was disappointed. We came in on a Saturday night and the place was clean and everyone was properly distanced. I definitely recommend eating here!!!!

I usually never leave reviews, but for this time I had to. I called in an order for pickup. I hadn’t done this before as I usually just dine inside. However I called in mynFood and arrived at the curbside parking spots. I waited a few minutes and I looked to my right and I saw a heavy set bald man who had identified himself earlier on the phone as Greg starting at me and my girlfriend. I thought nothing of it at first so I looked back down at my phone and after another minute I glanced back up to see he was still staring at us. Irritated and confused by the whole situation I decided to call in and alert the staff that I was outside. As soon as I called, Greg walked back into the kitchen and picked up the phone. He was rude and was very condescending. He then walked out of the door and handed me my food. He then told me I had to call in for “curbside” if I wanted my food to be delivered to my car. Again this is as my first time doing pickup at Bertucci’s in reading as I usually just dine in the establishment. Also my girlfriend who is a frequent customer said she has always just ordered for pickup and has never had a Problem. Also, because of the COVID virus I figured most restaurants would encourage less people entering inside if it was not necessary. Greg then proceeded to act arrogant,rude and very disrespectful. I would have had no problem going inside and paying had he not have treated us with such disrespect. I then handed him a 20 dollar bill for my food. He continued to be disrespectful and my girlfriend and I were shocked at how awful we were treated. This is not an attack on the establishment itself just reporting the awful service we had received. For reference this took place Sunday august 2. I hope this type of service is not given to any future customers.

We had a great dinner. Cara was very attentive, diligent in ringing the order in, and getting the food out in a timely manner. The food was delicious and she promptly took care of the bill. We will be back!

What a great experience all around, the food was great along with the staff! Came in for a quick take out and the attendant Aurora was very nice and eager to help us out promptly and with a smile. Will definitely make this my go to for pizza in the future!
