THIS IS WORST RETAIL STORE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. This place sold me a defective product, and I had to pay for it to get fixed!nnI waited 6 weeks for a lawnmower, that I was told would arrive in 10-12 business days. After finally receiving the mower, chain snapped off the drive train upon starting.nnI was charged $70 to fix this! The kid, Mike , who appears to be in charge , is a completely smug millennial who told me he was “taking care of me” by not charging $150!!!.nnYou try to support a local business, and this is what happens.nnSTAY FAR , FARAWAY from Hearthworks.

We purchased a gas stove and insert from Hearth Works and recommend the store highly. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and helped us throughout the process. It is a pleasure to visit the North Reading showroom; so much great eye candy. Thanks Hearth Works!

A great local business that takes care of their own. Great customer service. I recently came into need of some pallets and they were nice enough to give me 4 good quality ones for free. If I am ever in need of things they carry, will call them first... So should you.

We recently did a makeover of our fireplace and ordered a fireplace door through Hearth Works in North Reading. The selection was amazing and the service was great. The door arrived on schedule and I was able to install the door myself. It looks fantastic and is very well made. Very pleased!nMark from Tewksbury.

Purchased Vermont Castings gas stove which was a perfect fit for former gas fireplace location which was no longer functional. Excellent product, with 200 lb of cast iron which lives up to product name. Will last forever!nnMichael was completely knowledgeable about his products, and quick to provide accurate, detailed answers to my questions. He readily sorted through the maze of possible venting solutions and provided all the required bits and pieces to make the installation work.nnThe showroom is very impressive, with many stove products on display, with a number of them able to be fired up and demonstrated.nnAll in all, this is testimony to why one should buy from a local small business. They have the product knowledge and know-how to make the purchase a pleasure.
