The first and one of the best presidential libraries. Highly recommend a visit and a tour around the grounds to better understand how FDR grew up and became the president he was. Interactive exhibits are also a lot of fun for kids (and fun-minded adults)!

The library and home have been closed with COVID but the grounds are beautiful. There's a trail in the woods that goes all the way to Vanderbilt, 5 miles away. The grounds and gardens are well maintained, there's plenty of parking and they have to most helpful and talkative gardener in the little learning garden area. It was the perfect spot for this engagement session as it's been rather empty and still so beautiful! If you're in the area, would still suggest taking a peek!

Closed, but still cool that you could walk around. Very beautiful and spacious. Ice-cream shop near by too.

It's a great place! It has the dual significance of historical education and permanent memorial, which is worth every one of us to visit and remember!

The home of FDR and the library are fascinating. The home is 95% original (according to the guide), so one has a complete sense of what it was like during FDR’s lifetime. Eleanor and FDR contributed much to our American way of life. It is helpful to tour the library to understand the extent of their contributions. The guide was exceptionally good. Plan to spend a few hours.
